La Forêt Fouesnant and Port la Fouesnant

La Forêt-Fouesnant

Kerleven beach

The main beach in La Forêt-Fouesnant is a sandy beach stretching for over a kilometre.
Sheltered from the wind, it is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. During the summer, it is lifeguarded and provides beach wheelchairs.

La Forêt-Fouesnant : old harbour

La Forêt-Fouesnant is a quaint fishing village boasting plenty of character and charm. This coastal resort, classified since September 2012, is anchored on rich soil in the shade of fruit trees, facing the open sea. La Forêt-Fouesnant exudes the sweetness of life and friendliness. Pretty traditional gardens in full bloom line the streets surrounding the old harbour. And the best way to discover and to share this authentic land is to take a stroll around the Sunday morning market.

Port la Forêt

Sheltered by the Cap-Coz headland, Port-La-Forêt is La Forêt Fouesnant's marina. It is the second largest marina in Brittany. Sailing enthusiasts share the harbour with sailing race champions (Michel Desjoyeaux, Jean Le Cam...) who have made it their home port. "Portlaf'" as they call it, is home of  “Pôle Finistère Race”, national centre of excellence for training elite athletes whose achievements in  races in Figaros, monocoques and 60 feet long multicoques are the pride of us all.

La Forêt-Fouesnant : « Golf de Cornouaille »

The « Golf de Cornouaille », ideally located along the Bay of  La Forêt-Fouesnant, 15km south of Quimper, has a 18-hole course, combining architectural and technical qualities. Overlooking the bay of La Forêt, built in the beautiful property of Mesmeur, this golf combines the charm of old Breton manorhouses to magnificent views of the bay. It is the oldest golf course on the south coast of Brittany.
